I've been advised to cut out salt in an attempt to lower my blood pressure. I don't want to start taking pills, I'd rather try to make some lifestyle changes. It seems to be working, by making a serious effort to abstain from salt, my blood pressure was down significantly my last check-up. No processed foods because they're high in sodium has led me to eat more the way I did when growing up. With the exception of bread, my mom made pretty much all the food we ate. I also try to follow Canada's food guide when making decisions as to what to eat.
