No, not a Brokeback Mountain joke.

David Hasselhoff is apparently huge in Germany (The song "Hot Shot City" is particularly good!). People say this like it's an accepted fact, so we accept it to be true. 'He's huge in Germany. Massive.' Star of the most popular softcore tv show ever, and a massive singing star. So, yes, in large parts of the world, many people are popular that we are not familiar with. There's even some Spanish guy who has (supposedly) sold more records than Sinatra and Elvis, even though Wikipedia claims not to have heard of him. It may still be true but, hey, he sings in Spanish. Even Julio knew enough to cut some wax in English, si?

But how, then, is this acceptable? Seriously. Oy. That's just scary. He surfs on a motorcycle, sings on an Alaskan Carnival Cruise, and hangs out in Africa. I wanted to look away, but [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel made me keep watching, which means he's the bad guy in a horror movie.

[livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel, not David Hasselhoff. He'll be starring in Knight Rider, apparently.

David Hasselhoff, not [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel. Although that would be cool.

In other news, specifically for the edification of [livejournal.com profile] nottheterritory, a couple articles explaining that Sting is the inspiration for John Constantine.

I KNEW Sting was Constantine! Especially after hearing "Ten Summoner's Tales". Cool. Much clearer now.

But you need to fix that link, BG.

Oh, also Knight Rider starring [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel would be excellent. Let's do it.

I liked Baywatch Nights. Cheap, brainless X-Files.

I remember Mr. Hasselhoff from Young and the Restless.

I posted that video a few weeks back. Slacker.

And yeah, it's pretty entertaining, in that OMGWTFBBQ? kind of way.

That video, now playing in German Karaoke and singles' bars everywhere! Because you know, all sorts of First Nations people catch thirty-pound fishes out of the air, an Australian safari guide knows everything about African tribal dances, people can snowboard on a toboggan, and when riding your motorcycle with a full length jacket, it *never* billows up because of wind blast.

And then there's the freaky guy with the big eyes. Maybe that's what Michael Long looked like before the gunshot wound.

I watched. For 30 seconds. Then, well, I had to run. Far. Away. And burn my computer. And hide the evidence. For, of all the horrendous things that have come across my screen in the 10 years that I've surfed, this MUST be the most frightening. So so wrong.

a couple articles explaining that Sting is the inspiration for John Constantine.

Stay Tuned: Next week, we link to a couple articles explaining that using thumbtacks for an enema is a bad idea. All part of our "Well, duh!" category of explanifications.

I look forward to your delingering of the doubts regarding the Earth being round or the missions to the moon.

Sting was always John Constantine.

The final proof to those unwilling to have it proven was the "SS GORDON SUMNER" sign on the side of the boat he was on when heshowed up - like something out of a Pogo strip.

You missed a Brokeback:

- Harold Green, young, inexperienced, unfamiliar with the women.
- His Uncle Red, a woodsman, handyman, not handsome, but definately handy.
- A fireside in the Ontario woodlands.
