Michael Knight Vs. John Constantine
Feb. 5th, 2006 10:36 amNo, not a Brokeback Mountain joke.
David Hasselhoff is apparently huge in Germany (The song "Hot Shot City" is particularly good!). People say this like it's an accepted fact, so we accept it to be true. 'He's huge in Germany. Massive.' Star of the most popular softcore tv show ever, and a massive singing star. So, yes, in large parts of the world, many people are popular that we are not familiar with. There's even some Spanish guy who has (supposedly) sold more records than Sinatra and Elvis, even though Wikipedia claims not to have heard of him. It may still be true but, hey, he sings in Spanish. Even Julio knew enough to cut some wax in English, si?
But how, then, is this acceptable? Seriously. Oy. That's just scary. He surfs on a motorcycle, sings on an Alaskan Carnival Cruise, and hangs out in Africa. I wanted to look away, but
mr_weasel made me keep watching, which means he's the bad guy in a horror movie.
mr_weasel, not David Hasselhoff. He'll be starring in Knight Rider, apparently.
David Hasselhoff, not
mr_weasel. Although that would be cool.
In other news, specifically for the edification of
nottheterritory, a couple articles explaining that Sting is the inspiration for John Constantine.

Date: 2006-02-06 02:21 am (UTC)Sting was always John Constantine.
The final proof to those unwilling to have it proven was the "SS GORDON SUMNER" sign on the side of the boat he was on when heshowed up - like something out of a Pogo strip.
You missed a Brokeback:
- Harold Green, young, inexperienced, unfamiliar with the women.
- His Uncle Red, a woodsman, handyman, not handsome, but definately handy.
- A fireside in the Ontario woodlands.
