Okay. I REALLY want the Morrison New X-Men omnibus. Much more than I thought I did, because it's turned into such a chore to get it. Now, my FNSLCS is selling it for cover (i.e. $120 Canadain). So no. Dragon Lady has promised to sell it to me for less, but a strange quirk of physics has rendered them incapable of having a copy for sale when I'm in the store with money to buy. So, I start looking online.

If I go to Amazon.com, I can get it for
62.99 US
. This is actually the best option so far, even if I do get dinged for GST & Customs, which is unlikely given what I've heard. Oh, wait. No free shipping. Fuckberries. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, except it weight is seven pounds.

While I can get it for$67.14 from Buy.com, they'll also charge me for shipping if I get it there.

Amazon.ca will sell it to me for $100.80, which is NOT a corrrect translation of the US price. However, I'd not have to pay for shipping.

Chapters has the best price, having it for $73.32, also with free shipping. This is, of course, fucking useless as it is out of stock. Thanks a lot, Heather, you whore.

They can also sell it to me for $67.05 used, so I dunno if that's worth it. It depends how 'used' it is, really.

Have I angered the saint of book buying? Am I a bad person?

Not to add further rain to the parade, but odds are the used one is located in the States, too. :P Have you tried eBay?

I've seen said volume and even hefted it just to feel the weight. Like Grant Morrison himself, it's ideal for strange thinking and use in hand-to-hand combar.

Whatever you end up paying is totally worth it.

This seller (http://cgi.ebay.com/New-X-Men-Omnibus-Hardcover-Grant-Morrison_W0QQitemZ260080474166QQihZ016QQcategoryZ35783QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item260080474166#ShippingPayment) will shipt to Canada for $10 US, I'm not sure how that compares to Amazon, but their price is at least competative with the other options you have listed above. Hope this helps. ANd If there is anyhting I can do as a Stateside Bitterite to help out, let me know.

how long of a wait is it through chapters? sometimes if it's a week it's worth it as it would probably take you that long to find it anyway...

Well,

Keep your eyes open. The problem with the book is that Diamond ships marvel stuff. Diamond doesn't have any proper distribution set up for Canada. So Indigo has to make mass purchases and sit on them until over all quantities go down, and then make another purchase. Its just too hard and expensive to keep constant open channels with Diamond as everything has to come up from the states, rather than a warehouse here in Canada.

If you can buy it and get it sent to me in Georgia, I can mail it to you from here. That might save a little. I don't know how much shipping would be from here, but if you can get free shipping to here, I'm sure the cost wouldn't be too extrodinary.

let me know.
