Firefox extensions would be the main reason. Personally I think the Firefox interface on the Mac is inferior to Safari, but if you're used to using Firefox on other platforms you may want to stick with it for consistencies sake. Plus, Firefox, in theory, supports better multi-user profiles than Safari does -- Safari requiring you to have distinct accounts on the OSX machine itself.
