Help Me! WTF is Larry the Cable Guy?

Okay, so, there's this movie called, well, Larry the Cable Guy. I'm pretty sure I missed out on his rise to fame entirely, so could someone explain his shtick to me. What IS his shtick? Just a guy who installs cable? "Hey, I've got exposed butt-crack and will show up at random despite the fact we had an appointment!"

Seriously, I'm stymied. H'ep me!

His shtick is that he's a total redneck. His big catchphrase is Git R Done.

He's freaking huge near and south of the Mason Dixon line.

The weirdest part about the movie though, is it's called Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector.

He's a cable guy and health inspector? The hell?
