Trying to open a rather large PDF right now. My PC is making a noise like a WWII era lawnmower desperately trying to catch. I need more RAM and possibly a fan.

Ah, well. At least if it explodes now, I won't have to worry about expo stuff.

On the "bright" side, good computers are astonishingly cheap these days.

A replacement seems kind un-necessary, though. I figure a cleanup & memory/OS upgrade would probably get me another couple years out of it.

Although I'm contemplating a Mac Mini. Or is that not what you meant by "good computers"? :)
