Giving Sean Michaels heel heat in Montreal is like selling peanut butter sandwiches to second graders. It just proves you're not trying too hard.

Admittedly, I marked out to Bret's anthem. But after that? Eh.

And, yeah, I marked out to the Bret theme, too... even though I knew it wasn't for real, I still couldn't help but go, "No way..."

The thing is, Bret was in Hartford a few days ago, and they've made arrangements regarding his new DVD set. So we KNEW he'd bee in 'talks' with WWE. So that made hope burn juuuust a little brighter.

Oh, I know Bret and Vince have (more or less) "salved the wounds" from the Montreal Screw Job and all, as they've met multiple times in the past 3-4 years. Every time they do, there's a beaucoup of smarks running around proclaiming Bret's return is imminent.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Bret did appear on WWE TV one day. From my understanding, he's not in the physical condition to wrestle, so if/when he does, it'd be a promo, or a distraction, or something.

But I just cannot see Bret getting into the same personal airspace as Shawn. Bret took things way too personally with Shawn before the Screw Job.

Like say, during the Hogan match at SummerSlam - just as HBK is about to win, I could see Bret's music hitting, and Shawn laughing, thinking someone's pulling a fast one, and then Bret walks out, and stands at the top of the ramp... HBK is in show, and Hogan rolls him up for the 1-2-3.

Something like that, sure. But face-to-face? That would surprise me.
