The Bitter Guide to the Punisher
Mar. 29th, 2005 10:00 amWhat, exactly, was everyone complaining about? A film about The Punisherthat doesn't suck to the same degree as the 80s Lundgren crapfestshould have been manna from heaven to the Castle adoring out there.
But no, it was all "wah, wah, I don't like it."
Seriously. Castle is military guy (only he's mustered out and is a cop now), and his family gets killed. He takes vengeance on evil. Fine.
Sure, I could have done without the Family o' Losers he bunks with (if they could have kept Rebecca Romaine-Hotness in it, all the better. Perhaps as a stripper), but that was fine. And I'm led to believe the whole psychological torture aspect of it is in keeping in step with the current portrayal of the character.
And they even got in a couple extended firefight sequences, so that was good. Okay, Kevin Nash as a big guy was kinda un-necessary, but still. Enjoyable.
