And time to say it in.

In brief, then.

Last night game: Good. D&D goes well, but I've noticed that we get a lot more distracted playing D&D than when we play, say, Mutant City Blues or Heroquest.

Dinner last night: Good. The Shwarma was delicious, the rice was excellent, the sauce on the veggies was not too watery, and the tabouleh was delicious. All good!

Invincible Iron Man: Good. I like two things in this book: MODOG (Mental Organism Designed Only for Genocide) and the fact that Fraction actually creates a superteam for the Phillipines.

Of course, he creates them so he can blow them up, but that's better than the way Alpha Flight's been treated lately.

Gym: I'm on my way!

Steady day in the office. My body-tears were flowing a bit this morning after the shower, and there's nothing quite as enthusiasm bringing as coming into the office damp. Grey is probably the worst colour in the world to hide it, too.

At least I didn't pass any execs or managers en route.

Good things: Today's Don't Quote Me on the Puzzles page of the Star (well, yesterday's Star for everyone else) is all quotes from Die Hard. Yay!

I'm wondering something, though, and I wonder if this is a good venue to bring it up: Is Shock Treatment really a better movie than Rocky Horror Picture Show?

I think so. Personally, I've found that RHPS isn't very good if you don't have the strange carnival like atmosphere of a live showing around you. Plus, you've usually been drinking, and that always helps. But watching it sober, aside from a strange propensity to mutter "asshole" and "slut" under your breath, it isn't really that enjoyable. Strong performers all around, but still a bit of a mess.

Shock Treatment, while not a lot better, has a slightly more interesting (and possibly more relevant) plot, and while I can't recall but one song from it, I think I liked Little Black Dress quite a bit.

I dunno. I know it never gained the universal recognition of RHPS, but it still has more to offer, I think, about the desire for fame and how commercialism can affect you.

And everyone remember, World D&D day tomorrow. I know I'm going, after a stupidly early wakeup to go biking.

WGN is showing WKRP. I never noticed before, but the broadcast booth has a poster for Red Rider's As Far As Siam.
