No one asked me to do it, which is why I am.

10 years ago: In between semesters at the Gonk. Getting my heart broken, in intermittent phases. I did get to visit Quebec City, which is always good. Apparently they had a Ren faire that weekend.

5 years ago: Working at EcWebworks (and slowly realizing I wasn't 100% sure why I was there). Will was Godly in his compassion to bring me onboard, but overly optimistic on how much fostering he could do (and how much I needed). A fascinating experience, but it kept me from being able to consider small business opportunities anytime soon.

1 year ago: Moving into this house. Will, his wife Meredith, Qadoos (another ECWW veteran), [livejournal.com profile] pyat, [livejournal.com profile] nottheterritory, [livejournal.com profile] noondaypaisley, and Ian all gave us a hand with loading, unloading and carrying. [livejournal.com profile] hico came by on Saturday to help after we were unsuccessful in getting news to everyone that the move had been moved forward a day. If so, we remain in your debt.

The move had been scheduled for Saturday, but apparently the new tenant at our old place was having someone over to tear up the downstairs carpet (which had not been part of the original plan). So moving was shifted up a day to help get everything out. It, of course, made things go not quite as smoothly as we'd hoped.

Yesterday: Work was quiet, mostly. We had reached our goal for the month, so we were able to do administrative and training things that needed doing. Had a training course that I wasn't aware of, which was unfortunate. Of course, during it, COPC was brought up, which was an old memory from over five years ago.

Tomorrow: The zoo and the hot & spicy food festival, witha a Browncoatdinner to follow.

After grazing on it for a couple weeks, I'm done.

After conquering my desire to set fire to Ass monkey (seriously, don't go there if you ain't read the book but are of the breed of humanity who don't want the ending told to you), I enjoyed it. The ending was good, although didn't make TOTAL sense in retrospect.

And I obviously enjoyed it way more than the people linked to in this post (warning, psycho fandom at work). Someone on RPG.net referred to it as 'Wankageddon'.
