Tickets for Toronto's Battlestar Galactica Finale screening at the Fox Theatre go on sale tomorrow. They can be purchased at the Fox Theatre (2236 Queen East), Suspect video (605 Markham St), or at Eyesore Cinema (801 Queen W, above Rotate This).

Tickets are only $7, and proceeds go to the Daily Bread Food Bank. If you bring a canned good to the screening, you'll get a ticket for a draw for a BSG prize pack.

God bless io9.com. If not for them, I never would have known about Battleawesome Awesomestar, an improv comedy show in TO based on Battlestar Galactica. It's at the Bad Dog Theatre for the next few weeks.

Going to it, of course, is another matter entirely for YHB. But for the TO based of y'all, that shouldn't be such a problem.

You know what's scary? It's entirely likely that, some time in the '70s, a very involved, passionate debate was held between two (or possibly more) fans over which show was better: Space: 1999 or the original Battlestar Galactica.

This debate may have gone so far as to start a fistfight.

I am actually more delighted than scared by this idea.

edit: of course, who's to say it was just one argument? Maybe it was a man and a woman (forgive my heteronormatism) who simply found their debate drawing themselves closer and closer until they find themselves together and together they stay until this day. And even though she gets a slight smirk everytime Ron Moore's little show comes on, they're happy together.

The topic pretty much says it all: What are the colours associated with BSG? Grey, red, navy blue? Anything else?

Never has there been a worse "Next week... ON!" than last night's BSG.

The episode in question was Pegasus, and the cliffhanger of the episode involved (OMGSPOILERS!) the possibility that the two Battlestars (Galactica and Pegasus) would go to war! Over some asshole getting a rivet put into his skull off camera (and, seriously, that was lame; couldn't he just hit something with a [SFX] 'sickening crack'?).

Then, on Next Week... ON! we see the two Captains (well, one commander and an Admiral, which sounds like the setup of a joke) sitting down to kibbitz with the President. Well, that just threw the tension out the fucking WINDOW.

In fact, in protest, I'm gonna watch the copy Tibor burned for me.
