I LOVED the intro to this movie. I still do, actually. The rest of the effort is an embarrassment, but that into features pretty much all of the cool characters doing cool things. I love how Duke flies the bomb from the base of the statue of liberty up to the Cobra hovership in 6 seconds.

Something tells me that the Joes should have used those jetpacks more often.

I actually think minute three of that movie is the clear line of demarcation between when I loved GI Joe and when it all started to go to shit. I mean, they basically killed off Cobra Commander in the movie, introduced a crapload of new (lame) characters, and were only a year or two away from the Drug Enforcement team and aliens and shit.

Ugh.

And hey, let's not rag on Shipwreck. He was one of the better characters!
