Thankfully the slow cooker survived; it was perched on the driver's side footwell. The bean casserole, not so lucky.

Well, this is the first time it was made using the slow cooker; usually it's done in a casserole dish on the stovetop.

Essentially, it's a full can of kidney beans, a can of beans in molasses, a pound of ground beef, onion finely chopped, with ketchup and brown sugar to taste.

For the curious, gravity also beats a bread machine. Poor thing committed suicide in the middle of the night, just jogged right off the side.

I figure a few hours on low will get it cooked up.
