We need some New-minati
Jan. 17th, 2008 09:45 amSo, on my drive to work, I was thinking that the time is right for a new Illuminati set. I mean, SJG is pretty much just a card game company now, right?
I was actually thinking that I'd like to play Illuminati, because it is fun, but no one I know likes it, which makes me sad.
(interjection: Apparently Steve Jackson knew about 9/11 in '95!)
I was thinking of some relatively recent events that would make good Specials cards.
Bring 'Em On!: You automatically gain control of target Group. For the next two turns, attacks on you gain +5.
Heck of a Job!: Target Group's power is reduced to 1, permanently.
My Pet Goat: Remove all money from target group.
Of course, we're more likely to see Munchkin Illuminati first.
Edit: Of course, apparently Bavarian Fire Drill finally came out last year. Damn web blockers!

Date: 2008-01-17 03:38 pm (UTC)A new set just came out about a month and a half ago. Look up "Bavarian Fire Drill" in your favorite search engine.
Well maybe I will!
Date: 2008-01-17 03:44 pm (UTC)BTW: Do they have any of those cards in there?

Date: 2008-01-18 05:19 am (UTC)I like it a lot. Both the original "boardgame" version and the "CCG" (NWO?) version.
Not that I have the time to add more games to my gaming schedule, so that doesn't help you one bit. Just thought I'd correct you on the "no one I know likes it" bit - you can still be sad :)
