I remember when Ed used to be on cable TV. I also remember getting my picture taken with Liana K at that first Fan Expo you helped get me into, and having a nice (if short) conversation with her.

Ah. The part of the show where they usually go out "into the field" and meet some celebrity or porn star was, in this episode, taken up by Ed and Liana going to a live-action event. Ed was his snarky self, playing first a priest, then a warrior, and finally a bard, all without actually having the first clue about what was going on. Liana, on the other hand, was running around in green leather armour and not all that much else. No worries, I'm sure it will show up on YouTube soon enough.

Sure, you could do that. But, on the other hand, if you have fantasies about wood elves, that segment might give you "fuel for the fire". If you're that sort of person. Ahem.

What's amusing is that I'm sure the lesiban-cirque-du-soleil-wood-elf sequence in the new Uwe Boll film would do just as well.

There's not mention of it on Wikipedia, but Steve and Liana share a last name, and that's got to be more than coincidence, doesn't it? In my opinion, when Ed moved to late-night City and off Rogers cable access, the quality of the show took a sharp nose dive.

That's what I figured. I also seemed to remember that Liana first appeared on the show live as one of Ed's Go-Go dancers despite being named as a producer/writer in the credits for some time before that. But the wikipedia is mum on that detail, and I'm completely willing to believe that I just concocted that memory out of thin air.

The best co-host to my mind was that hipster that parlayed his Ed The Sock fame into a series of Snackwell commercials. Humble Howard was never a co-host on Ed The Sock. Neh. Ver.

Well, he does have a website (http://www.edthesock.com/) and a wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_the_sock). In short, he started out as a whacky cable-access interview show and then a few years ago he moved onto a broadcast television station known for its "edgy" content.

Until they started talking about my hobby, then it became like a traffic accident.

I have seen only a couple of those Ed the Sock shows, and those by accident. Turned me right off late night television.
