Tangental Anecdote. I met the real Dave Sim about twenty years ago. He wasn't showing the misogynistic crazy so much back then. I knew a drinking pal of his, and we ended up sharing a couple drinks. He seemed like a real straight shooter. This would have been late in High Society or early in Church & State. It was a great evening, Dave was a heck of a nice guy who took it pretty easy on a "casual fan of superhero comics" (me).
As for other folk? It's one of those viral chain-connections, not unlike our own, where I internet-know a guy who internet-knows a guy, all without actually meeting any of the persons in question.
I think that was just pre or during his marriage implosion/mental fragmentation.
The other guy, yeah, he didn't mention the feminine saturation of the something or other (or voids) but he gave that special frisson that only the properly crazy can.
