1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? - Bags, mostly. I wrap stuff in newsprint, as I have crazy brothers and they find spiritual fulfilment in two week old lottery numbers

2. Real or Artificial tree? - Real

3. When do you put up the tree? - Generally, a day before the "trim the tree" party

4. When do you take the tree down? - After Orthodox Christmas, but hopefully before the last tree pickup.

5. Do you like Eggnog? - Yes, as a delivery vector for rum.

6. Favorite Gift you received as a child? - Either the Millenium Falcon or a stuffed royal guardsman (the guys with the big bearskin hats). That sucker was as big as me.

7. Do you have a nativity scene? - Yes, but Scott Tracey is an Angel, Angel is Joseph, and The Master is Joseph. It's... strange.

8. Hardest person to buy for? - Parents. What do you get the people who raised you and have already bought the stuff you wanted to get them?

9. Easiest person to buy for? - Wife

10. Worst Christmas gift ever received? - Two. A) a VHS copy of a Divas photo shoot I got in an office Kris Kringle or B) a set of ceramic elephants I got the next year

11. Christmas Cards - Yep. Adherence to the list may be a little off.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? - Die Hard.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? - Any day now.

14. Have you ever "recycled" a Christmas present? - See 10B. Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] rentagurkha .

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? - I'm gonna say turkey & stuffing.

16. Clear lights or colored or both on the tree? - Why can't I have both? Oh, wait, I do.

17. Favorite Christmas Song? - Currently? Merry Christmas from Chiron Beta Prime. I also enjoy Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? - My parents would die if we didn't go visit them.

19. Can you name Santa's Reindeer? - Yes.

20. Do you have an Angel or a Star on top of your tree? - Angel. Not a very good one.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning? - As early as possible. Good to get the disappointment out of the way quickly.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? - Trying to get the damn cards finished.

23. Favorite Christmas tradition - Hunting and killing the previous year's midwinter king so the sun will rise.

24. Family member you always try to stay away from during the holidays? - That's a pretty shitty question. I'd probably say my annoying niece, but I would happily avoid her on any holiday. Thankfully, I've only met her twice, which is twice too often.

25. Do you attend any actual religious services in celebration? - No. That would be too hypocritical, even for me.

Your Messiah has Two Josephs?

I am blown away by the theological implications, not to mention The Win. :D

9. Easiest person to buy for? - Wife

Crap, I'm so jealous. My wife is so difficult, so horribly difficult, that we decided this year that we're not buying each other anything. We'll probably buy a flat screen TV after Christmas, or something.

Funny. My one and only successful present to her was two seasons of her favorite TV show.

Gotta say that I would take the Meme, except for the fact that being Jewish-born, I don't celebrate Christmas. :)

Still, loved some of your answers to this one. :)
