It's not so much a matter of my age as opposed to how long the winter has been going on. This afternoon when big fat wet flakes started coming down, I went 'Ooooh, snow!' in a rather positive manner. I always like the first snow. I imagine I won't be so enthralled with it come February.
That was going to be my response. Perhaps a fuller answer would be, "when you're responsible for your own transport, and your destination doesn't have snow days." (stupid, stupid system where they'll cancel classes, but the campus stays open so I get to try to drive through the snow *grumble grumble*)
I'm thinking that the likelihood of saying "Yay snow" is inversely proportional to how long you've owned (or at least rented) your own property, how much of it needs to be shoveled in order to get your transportation out of the driveway, and how long the commute in said transportation is to get to your place of employment.
There's also a multiplicative effect based on how many people around you drive like complete idiots in bad weather.
