Heroes, One Day Later.

[monotone voice]Oh, darn. Nathan has been shot. If only he had an illegitimate daughter whose blood can bring people back from the dead.[/monotone voice]

And, seriously, Hiro creeps me out now. Because that thing he did to Adam? That's crossing a line.

What happens when a man who regenerates suffocates to death? Is it like brain damage? Will sweet, sweet oxygen revive him?

And why don't people think about that rather than Claire's regenerating hymen?

Maya turns out to have been a totally wasted character. Perhaps if they'd been able to build up the possibility that her weeping disease would be the world killing virus instead of the Shanti Virus, if either Peter or Sylar got ahold of it, it would have totally be a repeat of last year. At least she was cuter than the unibomber.

Niki is, well, badass. Takes out the gangsta's knee and pistol whips him into submission. Damn. Shame she then died.

Of the two possible demises in this episode, I put hypothetical money on Niki's actually taking.

Nice touch of the symbol appearing in the ashes when Peter nuked the virus.

I'm seeing speculations that
(1) The remainder of Adam's blood from months ago will still be in Nathan's bloodstream and he will be revived through that (unlikely in my opinion -- it's been too long since then)
(2) Peter's blood, since he has absorbed both Claire and Adam's powers, might be able to save Nathan, if he thinks of it quickly enough, and his absorption of that power has changed his blood permanently (much more likely in my opinion)
(3) Claire's blood will revive Nathan; I find this possible because the press conference was televised and she knows her blood is curative so she might go to him, possibly via West, when she sees the press conference, but unlikely because the blood may need to be administered promptly, and Claire is all the way in Texas.

Hiro may have done what he did not because he wanted revenge for Adam's crimes, but rather because it may have been the only solution he could think of -- remember, he blew Adam up once, so he may not realize that chopping off his head/slicing up his brain will actually kill him. Do we even know that doing so would work?

I thought I remembered somebody mentioning that Adam's blood works as a one-time curative in other people. But Peter's could be a substitute, you're right. And hey, if Parkman could live after taking four in the gut last year, anything's possible.

Whether Claire and West can get to Nathan in time is debatable; I thought they were still in California. Regardless, we still don't know how fast West can fly (Nathan can/could presumably haul ass -- literally, since he carried Parkman all the way to Texas.)

One more thought: Sylar, thanks to the cure, now has Adam's and Claire's blood in him. That could be bad news.

2) Maybe I missed something, but I assumed that the news conference was thrown together quickly, i.e., they were still in Texas. Were that the case, then Claire might have a chance to get there. Also, in Season one, Claire had a tree branch stabbed through her brain, but she came back to life when it was removed at the autopsy. This means that her blood could just as easily bring someone back to life, regardless of time of death. This seems to be the case with HRG, as he had been dead for a while by the time they got him back to headquarters, and administered her blood.
