Oh, yeah: Qusay texted me last night to tell me something Mater had done that he found infuriating/irritating/annoying. For the life of me, I found it completely hilarious. I think I may actually be a bad person. Or just the universe's Jester.

For my part, I think it's lame they were both so paranoid that they couldn't find a simpler solution. Hell, toss someone else into the Survivor Series main event in place of Michaels. Seems an obvious solution, that...

Even so, I'm apparently the one person who admired Bret for not appearing onstage at the Hall of Fame appearance at 'Mania.

If you haven't read Bret Hart's autobiography yet, you should grab it. He doesn't go super in-depth into Montreal, but I think it's safe to say that the "saint" question is well-answered.

I felt more sympathy for Bret while until near the end of the book, when he went on a weird half-cocked rant and ruined most of my newfound respect for him.

Regardless of what Bret may have done before or since, the Screwjob was morally, professionally, and in all other ways a reprehensible act on the part of Vince, HHH, Michaels and Earl.

Bret is still one of my all time faves. Great performer, etc. And I'm with you about the hall of fame thing.
