Marvel has apparently gotten smart faster than DC (shock!), but still managed to do in a way that's also very stupid (double shock). My new books yesterday included two Marvel books (Iron Fist & AX-M) a DC and a DH.

The Dark Horse was cover price of $2.99 US, no Canadian price. The DC was $2.99, $3.65 Canadian. The Marvels? $2.99 US, $3.05 Canadian. Okay, sure that's a better rate. But why are they bothering with a six cent difference? And, with their hoping around on prices, can we assume we'll get a Canadian price that's lower than the US one?

There's also another grain in the gears here: If Canadian prices reach parity or go below US prices, my deal to get my comics at US cover is gonna start to suck.

Where were the comics printed?

I don't have any with me, but I can check. I think most comics are printed up here, though. Or at least they used to be, when it was cheaper.

Both Buffy & X-Men are printed in Canada.

Thats not the same story for trades though. By far Marvel has the worst pricing of any book publisher. For example the Civil War trade was a softcover with a $40 price tag in Canada. Avengers Assemble vol. 5 was $39.99 US to $64 Canadian.

I assume there's less reaction time needed to change the price on a serial than a tpb. Hopefully we'll see an adjustment in them, too.

Have you seen the new Howard the Duck miniseries? The villain is M.O.D.O.T.

I love me some Howard (even if the artistic interpretion is bizarre).

I did get issue #2. I missed #1, so I'm gonna wait for the trade. Very funny, though. M.O.D.O.T was neat, and a promise of a She Hulk Cameo is always good.
