So, I got the Sleep Study done last night. Thansk to my buddy Ed for doing his best to make me feel paranoid about the possible results.

Seriously, though, they need to do something about those studies. You're supposed to get a normal night's sleep while wearing an insane amount of monitoring equipment and lying on this tiny bed on a pillow that a cat would feel embarassed to sit on. I, in addition, got to have some hair shaved off my chest (that's gonna be awesome growing back in). There's also this great goop they use to adhere the electrodes to your skull, which I can only assume is worse for people with full heads of hair. There's no facilities in the hospital, so you get to go home to shower first or spend the day looking like you had a morning bukake shoot.

Yeah, that was a shitty experience.

Somehow reminds me of my university residence days....

Wow... the sleep clinic here is much nicer. They encourage you to bring your own pillow and a blanket, they treat you rather nicer, and they wake you early enough that you can get home and ablute before your day gets started. At least that's how it was reported to me... I haven't gone through the experience myself.

Depending on the relative positions of home, clinic, and workplace, yeah, I can see that... 8P

I have to give mad props to Toronto Rehab. They have washrooms and showers en suite to their sleep lab rooms, and their technicians have always been nice.

Ugh. And welcome to why I could never participate in a Sleep Study, even though it might be beneficial.

Mine sucked ass, too. Plus it turned out there's nothing wrong with me in terms of anything they can diagnose. My problem is largely snoring. It keeps my wife awake, so I've been couch-crashing for five years or so.

Worst part of mine was that the fuckers woke me at, like, 5:00.

Let me sleep, bitch!

Don't they let you bring your own pillow and comfort items? I remember they did for others I know who had it done.

Good luck.
