Sep. 19th, 2007 01:04 pmGot a semi decent night's sleep last night (aside from waking up around five because I thought I'd heard someone snapping their fingers in the bedroom).
I find that if I avoid SMAC, I get rest. Ohh, there's a copy up on ebay. I bet I could win it!
When I took the mouse into the Apple Store (whee! It's like going to church!) I saw that Star Wars: Empire at War is out on the Mac. I figure I could get that, or Civ IV, which would both be fun.
I'm dealing with disappointment in that I can't attend a concert by a personal favourite group. Ah, well. It's not like they've been together more than 3 decades.
MGK.com linked me to Your Webcomic Is Bad And You Should Feel Bad, which is intermittently amusing. He's right on one thing, though. Scott Kurtz, he's a big fella.
That, and I kind of agree 100% that Sluggy Freelance is a big 'ol turd.
Oh, yeah: for the interested at home, there is an LJ community dedicated to the TORG rpg (I know at least a couple of you like it) called
stormknights. I should do something with that.

Date: 2007-09-19 06:56 pm (UTC)I mean, I understand the guy is just trying to be a vulgar ham, and that's fine, but ... seriously. I can think of about 100 better things to do with my time than take a crap on other people's work over and over again. Nobody ever says "I'm going to sit down and make the WORST WEBCOMIC EVAR" -- everyone assumes they're bringing at least some level of talent (comic talent, artistic, what have you) to the table.
Sorry if I'm taking this more seriously than I should; the Constructive Critic in me is just rolling its eyes in dismay.

Date: 2007-09-19 08:48 pm (UTC)As for Mr. Cranky Webcomic Critic, I scrolled down a ways and didn't see his comment re: Scott Kurtz, because I was looking more for what he had to say about PvP, which I actually enjoy. And so? Scott is a few bills above ideal weight -- what's that got to do with anything in the realm of webcomic criticism?
