Have you tried shutting down Firefox and restarting it entirely? If that doesn't work, reboot your system. If it still doesn't respond... top touching yourself.
Yeah, I know, it's right up there with "are all your cables connected?"
But... my Firefox does tht to me every now and then. It's rare enough that it's All New And Frustrating each time -- and then I just shut down and restart it, and it works.
I've had this happen, and it's always been fixed when I closed and reopened the browser. I think it's because some pages have scripting that disables typing in a web address. Happened a lot on the course webpage.
