Saturday, I cooked and was frustrated
Aug. 20th, 2007 01:33 pmSaturday was another episode in the semi-regular Star Wars Trivia games. Cynra and I tidied up the house, and I made a batch of chicken ala king with citrus rice (the creaminess of the soup helps cut down the tartness of the rice).
Joining us were
cinn48 and
kinra and his new GF. Apparently she's a vegan, and he eschewed the chicken, so it's a good thing I forgot to put chicken broth in the rice.
First game was Star Wars Trivia.
kinra remains the only person to have ever beat me at it, so of course he won this time. He got off to a good start by recognizing Bib Fortuna's voice while scrambled, which stole my first wedge and threw me off my game.
And that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Afterwards, we played a game of Scene It! Harry Potter, which was fun, in much the same way being beaten by a prison guard is fun.
cinn48 was crazy good at that game. I suspect I should rewatch the Potter flicks before I play that again. Ah, well. It was nice to see all the lovely video clips.
We rounded out the evening with the Scene It! Marvel on party play, which consists of watching questions and shouting out answers. Fun!
I also showed
kinra the Marvel Vault book I bought. God, that's a beautiful thing. Planet Hulk, btw, is a big fat bag of awesome.
Cynra and I stayed up after they left and watched Legend. Well, as much as we could stand. I made her keep watching until Curry made his big entrance. Man, what a waste of possibility.
