Via Stuart Immonen. Signage from Nostromo in Alien. I should get some of those put up around my house.

I love the sign for "Artificial Gravity Absent".

If you're really sleepy, or in a dim hallway, the "Radiation Hazard" symbol and the "Coffee" symbol look alarmingly similar.

I think it's funny that there's a sign especially for coffee!

I love these signs. I used to doodle the 'vac suit' and airlock ones in my notebook at school. I'm glad someone compiled them. :)

As information design though, they kind of fail. "Galley" and "Coffee" are too vague, as is radiation hazard (which seems like a pretty important one not to mess up). Many of them are a little too abstract. Oh well! Still cool!

At this point Bishop might cautiously point out the Sulaco was the ship from the second film, the Nostromo was in the first one. Just sayin'.

I just read Nextwave. If you talk to Stuart Immonen, tell him he is some sort of god. The best kind. The kind with beer.
