I'm going a little deez trying to make sure the GX schedule is right, meanwhile I get to watch everyone's "I'm off to GenCon! Yay!" posts.

Tough, let me tell you. I did get a gift in the mail of a Superman w/ Batman team ability fig; thanks, Chris!

Oh, man. I could SO go to GenCon and spend stupid amounts of money. Instead I have to get new glasses and buy a freaking furnace and AC.

Enjoy dinner at the Greek place, guys. Opa. Sigh.

We're not spending tons of money. :( I hope you can go soon.

I will likely be tearing down something or putting up something all weekend, sadly. My life is of house when I get back.

A new AC will, in the end, give you more moments of pleasure than a Gencon trip, so that's something...

I really don't know what that weekend is going to be like for me - it'll be the last weekend when I'll be able to do catch up for missing work stuff, which means it may be quite full. I just can't really commit...

So there goes my offer for a ride down. I'm going by myself and hate it.

Look at it this way: at least you can have central air in your house! :D My own home is this weird design that doesn't lend itself to central cooling.

But yeah -- 'twould be nice to get to Gencon myself one of these years for the sake of meeting folks.

That Batman Ally Superman is hella sweet. Or terrifying if you have to face him.

His dial is roughly equivalent to the Exp Icons Superman. But with perpetual Stealth.

Here's a hint:

Use him on a map with lots of breakable terrain. Put him in hindering terrain. With his Batman TA, he's invisible to ranged opponents. Because he flies, the hindering won't affect his movement. Use his Hypersonic to bust out of cover, hit, and run to ground. If he does get caught out or based, he's tough enough in close combat to stand in and fight.

The solution is simple: Get someone you kmow well enough who is going to Gen Con to pick up some of the game stuff you really want! Goddess help me, that's what I've done! :)

I agree with you that it's the wandering down the halls and seeing what's there that always gets me at gaming conventions. However, there were a couple of game products that I just *had* to get my hands on sooner rather than later.

Btw, why is it that everyone seems to think all of these conventions are "fun"? Yes, they are for the most part...but one gets exhausted, stressed, and all the rest of it. They are usuzlly the kind of vacations that one needs to recover from. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy myself, but...aww, heck, never mind. :)

I still wear my t-shirts from my sole trips to GenCon in 1992 and 93. I hope to go back some day, but it's just not in my budget right now.

Maybe 2008 or 09. That will still be sooner than I get to SDCC (which may not be for a long time).
