My Pyramid subscription expires in a week.

I don't know if I want to renew it or not. It's not EXPENSIVE, but I get so little use out of it. That, and Matthew Pook (DAMN YOU, MATTHEW POOK!) gets all the reviews I try to do. Fucker.

I let my subscription lapse over a year ago and have not missed it. The same for JTAS and I used to love Traveller like nobody's business.

Yeah, I'm not renewing either. I haven't thought much about why, but I'm pretty sure it's:

* Far fewer Suppressed Transmissions
* Almost no Kovalic

Yeah. If I had a job that let me surf, I'd keep it for the boards. But since I Don't, the utility is greatly reduced.

But bitterguy - how will you ever learn about Norwegian commandos?!? Who's going to guard the princess of Denmark.

I think the main reason I keep my subscription is that it's the only really rules-heavy/crunchy gaming I'm exposed to these days.

Which is one of its strengths, I guess.

It's not a matter of a huge expense, either. It's just that I used to love fresh Dork Tower and ST right out of the oven. Now I don't really READ the actual Pyramid magazine anymore.

Oh yes - they were guarding the Danish princess - or, wait, no that was the Danish commandos. I think the author just had to admit that there is nothing exciting in the world for Norwegian commandos to do.
