I laughed in amusement. They even appropriated some of the music from the original.

OK, I didn't know the horrible song that Mark Wahlberg's character sang as a demo in Boogie Nights was the same one from transformers the movie.

Nah. There was an Autobot, Beta-MAX, but he was an autobot.

I was discussing this with the better half the other night. First we talked about the Go-Bots, of course. Funny how the Wikipedia article doesn't mention how much easier it was to break the Go-Bots.

Then I remembered a Transformer combiner I was given once. I did a bit of research, and my brother and I were each given one of the Predacons. They were robots that could transform into fierce animal shapes, and also combine into one big super robot.

Problem being that there were five of them, so I had a fierce animal that could turn into a robot or a large leg. With no knee on it. And my brother had one of the arms, that probably had no elbow. We never got to put them into play with the other three pieces.

1st of all, Soundwave was always my favorite.

2nd of all, "The Touch" is an AWESOME SONG, wtf are you talking about.

3RD- I know the chick that plays Beth. I went to school with her, and her Dad and grandparents went to my church.

I had read that the writings & director had such a cool concept for Soundwave for the second movie, and had nothing for the first one, that they wanted to keep him for later. Sounds like a good idea.

The Touch is FRAKING AWESOMENESS, Caramel coated.

I find it difficult to believe Michael Bay has any cool concepts for anything other than perhaps a car chase. Perhaps he has an idea for making him a Blu-Wave player or something.

The entire soundtrack of the original Transformers film must be treated like the Spanish Flu: Every sample should be destroyed, except one, preserved carefully out of reach of humanity for further study.
