Beautiful days

absinthe_dot_ca and vampyrehunterm and some friends of theirs.
This is an annual event for them, so they invited us to come along. Cynra was feeling a bit beat in the morning, but we made it down and hopped the ferry to start feasting.
absinthe_dot_ca had booked a picnic spot ahead of time, but when we got there there was some bastards holding onto it. After several polite attempts to get them to leave, they got it into their heads to keep cooking chicken. Hell with that, TBG thought. I grabbed a couple of TO's finest, and after they'd seen G's documentation (always get a receipt, kids) the situation cleared up ASAP.
Cynra & I had splurged for some nice meat, and I rubbed mine for a bit and then we cooked them up. Unfortunately they didn't cook entirely smoothly (some bits were a bit over cooked, one mouthful a little under) but they were tasty regardless. Too much food was brought, which is better than not enough.
Afterwards, it was a nice walk around the island (sure, let's take the fat guy out and walk him!) and a sit on the beach, and then home. I'd hoped to take Cynra shopping for a bit, but such was not to be. Ah, well.
Happy Canada Day to all the keeds at home. I'm pulling out the icon!
