I've only been able to get issues 51, 49, and now 45. I don't feel like I'm missing anything, though.

And yeah, I got the same impression, but...OMG, that last panel! Woo hoo! They're bringing him back.

Maybe this time they'll make him the badass he should be.

This was talked about on the Newsarama site. It's a race of humanoids, not Harbinger types.

Yes, but the similarities in name (Forerunner/Harbinger) plus purpose (minion/servant of the Montior) are too close to have it just be a coincidence.

Nah, Harbinger was cool but underused. Forerunner is only okay and will be shoved down our throat. At least that's my impression so far.

Seriously, Harbinger was unique whereas Forerunner seems to be one of a race of genetically bred slaves of the Monitors.

Now if you really want to play guessing games... Do the Monitors evolve into the Controllers of the 30th Century? The similarities are too scary not to be on purpose. Discuss.

More or less megalomaniac evil Oans, yes, but they looked a whole lot like George Perez' design for the Monitor(s). Wonder if it was unconscious or on purpose?

But, yeah, I know that Harbinger isn't directly connected to the Forerunners, but the similarities there seem rather blatant.
