The day was not a complete wash. I booked today off work so as to go wtih Cynra's class to the Zoo. I always love going to the Metro Zoo. Today was a particularly awesome day to do it, too, as the sky was clear and the sun was shining.

I was assigned a trio of young gentlemen, and we made the best of an abbreviated day. I hustled them from animal to animal, mostly going to the big ones. We caught feeding times for the Siberain tiger and the polar bear, and caught the gorillas, the lions, sumatran tigers, giraffes and elephants. In addition to hyenas, lynxes, fish, otters, etc, etc.

Anyway, afterwards I was supposed to go to the volunteer appreciation event at Cynra's work, but it turned out that was tomorrow. Which is game day. Whoops! So I'll miss that.

So we were thinking, let's go see a movie! We were contemplating Shrek 3, but since the AMC has no matinee pricing, we decided we didn't really want to pay full price. So we grabbed burrito dinner at Mucho Burrito (inferior to Chorizo in pretty much every way). I got the big burrito again. Apparently, I wasn't as hungry as I thought I was. Thankfully, the Dr. Was in the house (Dr. Pepper), so that let me do megabelch.

And then we came home, tired, full, and happy. A good way to spend a day, even if we weren't together for some of it.
