For all the Fathers out there:
Jun. 17th, 2007 09:06 pmHappy Father's day. And don't fuck it up.
We were suppoesd to go down to ACB for Father's day, but Cynra is still plugged into her report card machine. So we called and gave him our wishes, and we'll go down later in the summer.
Some bricks were laid around a tree in the front yard (our front yard is so sad and small, especially compared to the back) and mulch was laid around it. Huzzah indeed.
Also saw FF2. Not nearly as bad as
rdansky thought, so it was enjoyable. The product placement was atrocious, though. Fuckin' Fantasticar is not a Dodge.
Galactus was, thankfully, pulled off better than in the Ultimate universe.

Date: 2007-06-18 06:20 am (UTC)Funny, my wife and I have been talking about this lately, for a number of our students are seriously freaking out now that we're leaving, and a number of them are telling me I'm like a dad to them, and since I hardly even see some of these kids, it makes you realize how fucked their dads must be.
I'm not perfect at it, in that I'm cranky and distracted more often than I'd like to be. But generally speaking, I'm more confident in my worth as a father than in most anything else.
