Tell Me! How bad would this be?

How evil would it be to put a handful of tea bags into someone's white wash? Would the bleach just wash it all out? What if they just used hot wash and detergent?

Anyone got any ideas?

Back in my SCA days, I occasionallly used tea as a dye to darken linens. It tends to last quite a while if allowed to set. I never tried bleaching it back out, since I was doing it intentionally, but normal detergent isn't going to get it out right away.

The individual bags should leave dark splotches if allowed to get tangled and pressed into the fabric. Even if the overall tea-colour bleaches out, those stains sure won't.

I was doing laundry and it just struck me as something strange that woulud be very cruel to do to someone you were angry at.

Another possibility would be to just dump in a bottle of red food colouring - give everything that nice light pink colour... (Or just drop in a bright red sock)

Well, should do some damage, even if they do use bleach.

I'm assuming, of course, that this is simply a scientific inquiry and you have no plans to actually DO this.

Because that would be wrong. Even though it'd be funny.
