Game was on last night. Delayed a bit by a bad choice and a family obligation: Had dinner at Quizno's (Philly cheesesteak, but lettuce or tomato, offfered, would have been accepted) which did no good for my belly, so roti remains choice #1. Also had to deliver some gas cannisters to Uday for his 'trip to the woods', wink wink.
Say hi to the CSIS agents, bro!
Made it to FNSLCS and then to game.
Comics quick summary:
Wisdom #Last. Wow. The Brits manage to combine cheerful wackiness with outright tragedy. And Killraven!
Spirit #Next: Okay, didn't read it yet.
Captain America # Dead +1: People continue to deal with the aftermath of Cap's death. Iron Man breaks down at the funeral, Falcon has to hop from wake to wake, and Bucky gets violent.
Countdown #50: Jimmy Olson is Elastic Boy. That's cute. But after going back to 52, Countdown is definitely not proceeding as quickly/enjoyably as its predecessor. And has Olsen been in Arkham for a week now?
She Hulk # this: I love this book, even if Slott can be a bit snippy. This was the best followup to Civil War ever. Shame its follow up came out several weeks ago.
Game was fun. Only Jess,
madmanofprague and I made it. It was the Politico cycle and, once again, it was us working together instead of allowing ourselves to get swallowed up in political infighting, which goes against using Best Friends as a system.
We had a great idea to subvert the evil lizard empire's populace by pirate broadcasting. We did some research and found out that they're a meritocracy, and they broadcast educational programming and attempt to reinforce how anyone can get ahead in their society by hard work and education and talent.
So, to subvert that system, we decide to broadcast updated (starring lizards!) versions of The Simpsons. Mostly the Frank Grimes episode.
So, we flash to the soldier PCs. Who watch in horror as, at a lizard birthing ceremony, the evil lizards shoot down the PlutoStar (a death star without a planet killer laser).
Whoops.
Yeah, that was... That was bad. I guess we fall back on "throw rocks at them from orbit and then send in tanks".
