[livejournal.com profile] toddalcott has to go and ruin Spider-Man 3 by getting all logical on it.

Although I think Peter not being able to make money off of his S-M activities is an established part of the charcter. Although an agent and offshore accounts would probably be a really good idea at this point.

I love people who think logic still applies to a movie about a guy who sticks to walls and shoots webs out of his wrists. It's fun to make puns and watch them assume I'm being serious.

When you mentioned Peter not making money off his "S/M" activities, I thought of something completely different.

("Oooh, tie me up baby...")

How many superheroes do make money off their own hero status or abilities?

I remember an episode of Justice League Unlimited with illegal superhero prizefighting. But in general, where do superheroes get their money? How can super-groups maintain their organizations and secret bases? Not everyone is the heir to the Wayne Empire.

Government sponsorship, sometimes.

Superman probably robs other plants of their riches in his spare time, because Superman is a dick (http://www.superdickery.com).
