Lost. The next day

That was good. The continuing adventures of Juliette, and another flashback that involved events on the island.

The final twist was a bit of a nut shaver. I assume we can take anything that is shown in a flashback as gospel, but anything she said has to be considered suspect.

It is entirely possible that she did not lie to anyone, that Ethan did improvise. I'd like to go back to the Claire episode in the hatch to see more of the discussion between Tom & Ethan.

I was really hoping Jack would walk onto the beach and go "Hey, where's Nicki and Paolo?"

THese are the two eps I'm looking forward to, in terms of hoping for revelations.

Honestly, I'm a little tired of the writers essentially yanking the viewers' chain - and I'm generally not too upset by that sorta thing. It felt weird to have an entire episode build sympathy for her, then have it all turned around at the end. Some of that is cool, but this episode felt different - like clever for the sake of being clever.

Well, that's sort of the thing... I am tired of watching Lost - and I've never been much of a complainer. Nor did I feel like I was having my chain yanked during the Alias run, even though the way the series and the story is set up is similar.

The thing I'm sort of getting at is - twists are all well and good, etc. But if a lot of your audience gets tired of having their chains yanked, then Lost is off the air. There was something different about it this time, and I can't figure out exactly what it was. It -felt- mean-spirited.

I don't really expect answers about a lot of these things - like how did Ethan get superpowers, exactly? - and I hope we'll see them eventually. Personally, I'm just wondering how all these mofos became brilliant liars and infiltrators.

It was a promising episode.
I just relaly really REALLY hope she's a double agent - like she takes a stand when they come in a week.
But as before NO ONE IS LISTENING TO SAYID. No matter how many times he's right, they still just dismiss him.

I feel pleased that I called that Claire's problem was rigged, though I hafta admit I'm very curious to see who Juliet's actually working for. It does seem kinda easy that she's essentially doing what Ben did last season (though without the brutalizing).

Yeah, it all depends on how much the Others really know. Who's on Jacob's list, maybe? I could see Ben putting himself through all that to get his surgery.
