A) I know there's some of you out there from Hamilton, so I need to ask you a question: Is there a good place for breakfast out there? I recall a couple places we went to before the Bayshore sales, and they were okay, but other than "in Hamilton", I got nuttin.

So, yes. Before I go in to my mechanic's tomorrow, can anyone suggest a good breakfast place? Not too greasy spoonish, I gotta take the wife.

B) In Geektastic news (and because I'll bet some of you don't read [livejournal.com profile] seebelow, over at [livejournal.com profile] gamera_spinning, he has aSci Fi Magazine cover shot of the cast of heros posed like the cover of JL #1.

If you're downtown or toward the west end, try Your Place, on Main St. just east of Dundurn. The food is really good, the ambiance is family restaurant, and the service and prices are both reasonable.

If you're in the east end, try the Bedrock Bistro at Parkdale and Main. Again, good on all counts. We frequent both.

Your Place Family Restaurant is located on Main West, just east of Dundurn on the south side of the street by the Dairy Queen. Simple food but tasty and a really good price.

Your Place is pretty good, and has been a past People's Choice winner for a few local papers. Our family will eat there often, but also gets pretty crowded on the weekend with all the McMaster students. You may have somewhat of a wait.

Around the corner on Locke Street is the West End Grill. Same caveat.

The Egg and Eye is a popular venue for many persons (and has one awards for best breakfast place, too); there are three in Hamilton's outskirts (upper Centennial Parkway, Upper James, and one way out past the Ancaster Wal-Mart).

If you are in Ancaster, Sammy Joe's on Wilson (a block or so E of Fiddler's Green) is one we go to a lot.

If coming from Burlington, there's Russell Williams near the corner of Waterdown and Plains Road E. It's won some awards, too.

Good luck!
