thebitterguySo, a few weeks ago Cynra & I got into a discussion about accents and movies and lying to people, and I brought up Jean Reno's Elvis impersonation in Godzilla. She admitted, in one of those relationship breaker moments, that she'd never seen a movie with Jean Reno in it.
After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I tried to jog her memory by naming a few films. It did turn out that she could not recall seeing any films with him in it. Man, that hurt. [edit: It turns out we had both seen The Davinci Code last summer, which Reno was in. It's just that that was such a forgetable film that, well, we forgot.]
So last week I set the PVR to record The Professional. She watched it last week, and enjoyed it, thankfully enough. I don't know if I could continue to love a woman who didn't appreciate his rough edged Gallic charm. Maybe La Femme Nikita next.
In other news, a co-worker has requested I purchase for her a sub when I go to Subway. On this sub she has requested Buffalo chicken meant, hot sauce & southwest sauce on white bread. No veggies at all. I am filled with revulsion.
