So, does anyone know about the Butterfly conservatories in the area? I think there's one near Hamilton, is that right?

We're looking to go to one while we have the week off.

There's one in Niagara Falls, at the Royal Botanical Gardens there. To the best of my knowledge, there's none in Hamilton.

You want the one in Niagara Falls. You can read all about our own adventures a year ago yesterday:

While Dundas has the Urquardt Butterfly Gardens near the Dejardins Canal, this is really an outdoor wildflower area that is an outdoor nature conservation area.

When I was in Houston a year or two back to see the Lord of the Rings exhibit from NZ, the Museum had a HUGE butterfly conservatory inside. Museums might be your best bet.
