Mar. 8th, 2007 11:43 amSurfing Ellis on Wikipedia, I stumble upon the listing for Pete Wisdom, another character of his who’s got his own book. Wisdom is fun, although I’m sure I’m missing a huge joke about Captain Midlands. A fairy named Tink is cute enough, and John the Skrull seemed like a fairly shallow joke until the third (second? can't remember)issue.
The base concept is that Wisdom runs an operations team for MI-13, the branch of UK intelligence that handles stuff that’s supernatural (although in the Marvel universe, that would be a lot of stuff).
I’ve found it to have certain similarities to Torchwood, only what it would be like if Captain Jack wasn’t an emo douchebag.
