Okay, so for a couple hours now, while Cynra split her time between marking & watching bad TV (I can't take the dang Dresden show, I'm sorry) YHB has ben torturing himself with Youtube videos of video game criticism.

Okay, not really criticism, more like gamers cursing repetitively while they play video games.

They do a bit where they treat Contra like a movie and do a commentary, only it's not very funny.

Now, someone in the comments for that suggested The Angry Nintendo Nerd. It's a little funny, but God it's long. The first one I watched was the Top Gun one, and it seemed amusing. So I watched some more. Oh, man. Sure, there's some semi amusing/creative use of vulgarity, but it just kinda goes on.

It's actually good compared to The Fat Mann, here reviewing Superman for the Genesis. It's actually one of his better ones, as he usually just screams and swears and screams.

There's just not a lot there. I'm sure there are other, better youtube game reviewers out there. It's just after wasting time on these two, I don't really care enough to try to find them.

Fat Mann is the worse of the two, but that's praising with faint damns.

I watched some of the Angry Nintendo Nerd stuff a few days ago, and found a lot of it pretty funny. The Ghostbusters one was good, especially since the game sucked /so/ hard next to the Sega version. I also enjoyed the Movie/Game Chronology episode, and the TMNT ep.

I don't think they're worth sitting there and paying rapt attention to, but they're fine for having on in the background or off to the side while doing some sort of work that doesn't require full attention.

Yeah, if they were shorter and somewhat edited bursts of psychotic tourettes fuelled rage, they'd be a bit more watchable.
