Oh, man. Weird Al is about to embark on a grand tour of Australia, and then will be commencing his North AMerican tour, which will take in the continental United States, and BC, once again completely omitting Central Canada.

Gosh darnit. I am upset.

Didn't he often come to TO maybe 10 or so years ago? I remember him doing a lot of appearances at Much Music...

Oh, yeah, it used to be a frequent stop on his tours; he also used to do Kingswood theatre frequently. Now, not so much. He did a stop on his Runnign with Scissors tour in '99 (IIRC), but no stop was done for Poodle Hat and nothing's arranged for Straight Outta Lynwood yet.

I find it odd that he is touring here at all, considering the last time he had a hit here. Looking at his catalogue the last one I remember hearing/seeing was back in 1992.

Actually, his albums sell really well down here in Oz. He did a tour in Australia in 2003 and I believe it pretty much sold out (I saw him in Brisbane).

He had so much fun in 03 (his first tour outside North America) that he decided to come back.
