Hoo'd win Part The Captain's Log
Feb. 6th, 2007 03:50 pmLadies! Gentlemen! Klingons!
The time has come to settle the greatest debate in history. Few disagreements have been as contentious as the one we will debate today. From "Does God Exist?" to "who are you and what are you doing in my country?" to "Do you think these pants make my butt look fat?" to , none of these conundrums are as discord inducing as this one:
Which Starfleet captain is supreme? Kirk, or Picard?
Surely, both of them have their advantages. Kirk's raw animal passion is a force to be reckoned with across the galaxy, whether in combat or sweet lovemaking. Picard's arrogance was tempered by a near death experience in his youth. He acted as a scalpel of reason and compromise, while Kirk will was a dull bludgeon of forcefulness and ripped shirts.
So! Make your choice! Let your voice be heard! Talk as if nobody's listening!
[Poll #922007]
p.s. Can you believe I've never asked this one before?
p.p.s. as always, tell your friends.
p.p.p.s. As of this moment, I would like to say: what a horse race! Picard & Kirk are tied at 10 each, and Sisko, the dark horse of the race, is breathing down their necks with nine!
p.p.p.p.s As of 8:20, Feb 7, it is dead even at 23 votes each.

Date: 2007-02-06 08:54 pm (UTC)Janeway kicked more ass than Kirk and was a better diplomat than Picard.
She's not bald, though, so my money's on Sisko.

Date: 2007-02-06 11:41 pm (UTC)I had to go with Picard. Although one must admire Kirk for the trailblazer he was, the real credit must go to Picard, the cool-headed, aloof man at the helm of the Enterprise.
Oh oh! In the next poll, pit the doctors of Star Trek!
P.S. I see in the near future that the Earth shall be split in two by an ever-raging war for the title of "Greatest Captain Ever?" Many will be slain, no woman man or child will go unscathed!
