Well, this is interesting;

Apparently, Pendant Audio produces new style old style radio dramas over the intertubes. They do some original series and some fan series, including a set about Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman. Starting with the latest issue, #25, of Superman, they're doing a crossover, as Darkseid invades Earth.

And to raise ratings, he's gonna rape Batman!

Edit: And while I'm talking about audio plays, Circus 13 Productions is also doing some comics inspired radio plays; the one that I'm gonna check when I get home is an adaptation of the iconic X-Men story Days of Future Past. It's got two of the most memorable covers of any comics ever, I think, that don't show a Byrne Choke.

And wasn't someone out there involved with a Batman radio play? Anyone?

Y'know, I can see Batman raping Superman (would probably involve his kryptonite ring), but I don't see it the other way around.

No, they're already very close.

It did seem an odd storyline.

I have listened to the Wonder Woman Pendant podcasts....they are not bad. Hubby is listening to the Superman ones, and he is very perplexed. I don't think I want to hear it, myself.

a) Thanks, I stole it.

b) I think it's a little of both. I just wonder why they have to come up with something so sensational when there is so much material to work with. It's a comic, not a soap opera.

TBG "And wasn't someone out there involved with a Batman radio play? Anyone?"

Well there is Dirk Maggs who did Batman Knightfall, some spiderman and Judge Dredd for the BBC back in the mid 90's. He's just starting up online.

So we'll see if that goes anywhere.

TBG "low quality work"

Yeah, you can say that again. :D

Raping Batman. Yeh that's just what everyone wants to hear. I can see the writers of pendant thinking that is a great idea. its not just the audio quality thats low. there writing is not much higher.

By the by, for anyone keeping score, the voice of Batman in that show is yours truly.

And that rape scene? Not happening.

Sorry.

It'll be on the DVD Director's Cut, tho.

:)

But seriously, folks.

The IMPERIUM crossover continues tomorrow with Issue 14 of Batman: The Ace of Detectives. I'd tune in if you wanna find out what REALLY happens...
