I had a great post in mind
Jan. 26th, 2007 05:22 pmIt was going to be about art, and perception vs intent, and the ability to respect an artist's work while not respecting the artist, and if that would be changed by the fact of what part of the artist's life the art was created in (specifically, that I still love the first hundred or so issues of Cerebrus). In the end, I just want to say that I really love Turning Japanese.
I may come back to that later.
So, tonight: Uday & Mexican food!

Date: 2007-01-26 11:30 pm (UTC)I had a really great comment, listing all sorts of creators who are shitty people but because of their shitty life or their general asshattery also have great perspectives or at least really good stories that really nice people could never tell, and therefore I find quite often I'll respect a creator's work a lot more than the person. But then you got lazy and all my plans were flushed down the toilet.
In the end, I just want to say that I also love that song.

Plus, Byrne/Card/Miller is a douchebag.

I'll take your Byrne/Card/Miller and raise it by a Moore/Martin.

Date: 2007-01-30 06:03 pm (UTC)Did you ever watch any of Moore's 007 movies? I rest my case.
As for Dean Martin... well, because of the stipulations of the settlement, I'm not at liberty to say.
