Lovely day

So, when I woke up this morning, I noticed that the house was a bit chilly. It being Sunday, I just crawled back under the covers and assumed the furnace hadn't come on for the day yet.

Nope. Cynra came back up and told me that the furnace hadn't come on for the day becauses the pilot light was off. After contacting Union Energy, we learned that they couldn't come by until tomrrow because we have a fireplace in the living room. That'll do us lots of good when we're trying to sleep, of course.

On the other hand, actually, we have an electric blanket, so that'll help. .

I would think that anywhere in Canada, in January, "furnace no workee" would be cause for WILD EMERGENCY CHAOS. On the other hand, spending the day under the electric blanket wouldn't be so bad.

Well, the fireplace is still working, so the living room is warm and the rest of the house is staying at around 12 degrees, so that's not bad. It's a good thing that we replaced the windows this year.

Last night I slept with two fans on and the window open. It was nice and comfy. Today it skirted 80 degrees F.
