thebitterguyNew years was good last night. Went over to Kathy's house for dinner & sitting around until Midnight (not Cindy's sister Kathy, of course, since they live in Nova Scotia and I'm not up for another Winter visit East).
It was enjoyable, although I didn't get to do much of anything. We did a last minute shopping stop to pick up Ed's gift & d20 Modern.
On the way to Kathy's, we stopped by Dave Creighton's to do a slightly belated gift exchange. He gave me a cd he titled Music for a Bitter Guy. It starts with George Thorogood and ends with Was Not Was (Dad, I'm in JAIL!).
Swear to God, that was one of the nicest presents I got all year. A mix cd might seem somewhat trite, but this one was wonderfully put together. A mix of Karaoke hits, wrestling themes, and just apt stuff, with an Avril Lavigne song in there for some reason.
It was nice, though. Numba one gift, GI!
