What up with TBG
Nov. 19th, 2006 03:40 pmI do not love Deepest Sender so far. It is causing me angst. Ah, well, Xjournal still loves me.
Very domestic weekend so far. Yesterday Cynra & I ventured to the modern day Sodom, Toronto, to do some shopping. Well, not really, it was much more a touristy venture. She'd told me some time ago that she'd never been to Honest Ed's, so I vowed to rectify that.
First off, though, was a stop at
bakkaphoenix to pick up my prize (and a Christmas gift for a couple friends, since we were there). Then, we scooted over to Ed's and picked up some coat hangers and a non-stick pot. We didn't even make it to the West building, because I wasn't really in the mood to pick up some cheesy Christmas decorations (Cynra had already done some shopping at the Ashley sale, so I didn't want to buy actual crap to go with the nice stuff) and because I wanted to grab some dinner.
it was another first for the missus, as she'd never eaten a Roti so I took her to the Roti place I normally visit while on my way to the Greatest Game Ever.
Tasty, as always, although she ate hers with a knife and fork and I dug in with hands and gusto.
We rounded out the evening by visiting BMV; I picked up Midnight for
mr_weasel and a copy of Sandstorm for myself (who wants to play AQ?). She got some Christmas gifts for some friends.
She sucks at shopping for herself.
On the way home we stopped at WalMart to pick up some gifts for a friend's baby shower.
And once home, we completed the pantry that the cats had destroyed. Some of the nails that supported the shelves were torn out in the accident, so we secured them with some Carpenter's Glue and a few nails. Mostly finished, except for the small fact that we need to reverse two pieces that are already assembled because there's no actual way to distinguish the left from the right.
Ah, well.
So, today is more work for YHB (composting and reversing panels) while Cynra headed into work. Game was called off because of non player interest. Should have gone to visit the folks.

Date: 2006-11-19 09:39 pm (UTC)I *was* interested in your CoC game...just no time this afternoon (sigh; or any regular Sunday afternoon); I spent much of the am playing Lego Star Wars II with my little one, else SuperMarioWorld on the DS Lite (and I'm cursing the day I introduced her to video games).
All this afternoon I've been hunched over a laptop and a desk top fixing up an orientation Powerpoint presentation so I could mail it to some of my colleagues. I started to curse and sweat when I realized that with Yahoo's electronic 'envelope' padding out the attachement the files were too big to mail. So I've been scratching my head with Photoshop to change the resolution of some of the digital photos I included to shrink the file size.
I just now finished using Dragon's Naturally Speaking over the last 3/4ths and hour to rough up a consult note for Monday am, and now I'm thoroughly sick of medical files (sigh).
I could have used a game of something or other to pound out some frustration...
